JKGBYWC, team unit Shopian hold Protest demonstration against PMGSY, department.

Srinagar: J&K Gujjar Bakerwal Youth Welfare Conference (JKGBYWC) Unit Shopian Lead by Choudhary Aziz, alongwith Teshil President Keller, Muzaffar Choudhary, Vice President, Muzaffar Awan, Fareed Ahmad Halqa President Zampathri and Irshad Islam Halqa President Chawan, visited Zampathri area in order to Enquire about the Problems and issues confronted to the people of the area in lockdown time where the people at large number apprised them about the issue of Macdamisation of road in their area latter the Aziz Choudhary alongwith team and Locals held Protest demonstration against PMGSY, Department, for delaying to start lay the macdam on said road.Meanwhile, he while speaking with media the President alleged that “In our Gujjar belts, most of the interiors have not been blacktopped for years. You can see the big potholes and condition here. It is very difficult for motorists to drive on the road and the Zampathri road is live example.For a common man, travel has become a life and death struggle as insufficient budgetary allocation by the government is also delaying the repairs of roads.He while speaking said that “Continued delay to undertake repairs and macdamise of damaged roads is giving a tough time to the people who have to travel daily to reach their offices, schools or for regular works in Shopian.He however, talked to Executive Engineer, Muzafar Sab, AE, JEs of the concern Departments, about the issue and they have assured them that on getting testing result they will start the macdamisation works before 15th August.On getting assurance from Department the activists of JKGBYWC, call off the Protest by saying that if the Department concern would not start the work as per their promise made us they will hit again the road they Warned.
