RAJOURI MAR 28:-The Jammu & Kashmir Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes & Backward Classes Development Corporation, in collaboration with the National Backward Classes Finance & Development Corporation (NBCFDC), New Delhi, organized a one-day awareness camp in the remote area of Shahdara Sharif, Tehsil Thanamandi of District Rajouri.
DDC Member and Administrator of the Waqf Board Rajouri, Abdul Qayoom Mir, graced the event as a Chief Guest. The program witnessed significant participation from locals, including former Sarpanches and Panches, who gathered to gain insights into various financial schemes.
Addressing the attendees, Shakeel Ahmed Mirza, District Manager of the Corporation, elaborated on concessional loan facilities available at interest rates ranging from 4% to 6% per annum for setting up income-generating units. He also shed light on education loan schemes aimed at supporting students pursuing professional studies both in India and abroad.
DDC Member Abdul Qayoom Mir lauded the Corporation’s efforts in reaching remote communities and urged officials to replicate such initiatives in other far-flung areas to maximize their impact.
Local youth leader Zahid Qureshi extended his gratitude to the Corporation for organizing the awareness drive and encouraged residents to make the most of the schemes designed for their socio-economic upliftment.
The camp served as a vital platform for disseminating information about financial assistance programs, reinforcing the Corporation’s commitment to empowering marginalized communities through self-employment and educational support.
