RAJOURI OCTOBER 31:–On the eve of ‘National Unity Day ‘, Rajouri Police organised a seminar on the topic, “Our Duties Towards our Country “ at Government Degree College Sunderbani.
The enlightening event aimed at instilling a sense of responsibility and awareness among the future leaders of our nation, the students of the college.
As everyone knows, Police department is dedicated to serving and protecting the residents. Committed to upholding the highest standards of law enforcement, the department actively engages with community/ society to build a safer and more cohesive society.
Among others who attended the event included Incharge Principal GDC Sunderbani; Prof. Mukesh Sharma , AdSP Nowshera, M.R. Giri, Professors-Beant Singh; Rabinder Kumar; Sheraz Kouser; Shafiq Ur Rehman; Jahangir Bhat; Munawar Hussain; Sham Lal; Rakesh Kumar; AC CRPF-72 BN Sh. Jitendra Kumar; SHO PS Sunderbani Rajesh Jasrotia; members of media fraternity & large number of college students.
Commencing the event, Incharge Principal welcomed AdSP Nowshera for conducting such seminar and impressed upon the need to organise such events in future on regular basis aiming to aware the youth at their formative phase.
This seminar aimed to inspire and motivate the students / youth to actively participate in building a better and safer society.
Additional SP Nowshera shared his views on the concept of nationalism and what does it mean being Indian. Stressing that every Indian should be proud of the fact being citizens of largest and oldest democracy of the world.
He appealed the gathering to follow the fundamental duties while enjoying our fundamental rights , as a responsible citizen of the country.
Additional SP Nowshera elucidated the importance of Fundamental Rights as enshrined in the Indian Constitution and stressed their importance in maintaining a just and equitable society.
He emphasized that every Indian must come forward to cooperate in nation building and further strengthening the unity and sovereignty of the country.
This initiative was taken as a part of the J&K Police Department commitment to fostering strong community police relationships thereby promoting the values of duty, honor, and service to the nation.
To conclude the event ‘National Unity Pledge’was taken by all the participants .
