RAJOURI SEPT.02 :–Finally, BJP leadership has announced official candidates for important Rajouri & Nowshera Assembly Constituencies.
Ex-MLA and State President Ravinder Raina will contest from 84- Nowshera Assembly Constituency while State General Secretary & ex-MLC, Vibodh Guptas’ name has been cleared for 85-Rajouri (ST) constituency.
On reaching Nowshera Ravinder Raina received a huge reception by hundreds of his/BJP supporters.
“People from every society and from every corner of constituency gathered at Nowshera to welcome me, which is testament of Prime Minister Narendra Modis’ slogan ‘Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas (together with all, development for all, the trust of all),” said Ravinder Raina.
He warns the people to be alert from divisive forces who will try to disturb the elections for their vested interests.
Similarly, Vibodh Gupta was received by his supporters on arriving in Rajouri town. He promised to work 24×7 for the welfare of the people of the constituency and, if elected, his priorities would be women college for Rajouri, betterment of road connectivity, scholarships for students who want to study out of state, a warehouse at Rajouri for those who want to establish their own business etc.
He assured the party leadership for sure win of BJP from Rajouri constituency as the BJP leadership have shown faith in him.
On the other hand, Congress has cleared the name of youth leader Iftkhar Ahmed for Rajouri (ST) constituency.
Iftkhar Ahmed is a State General Secretary of J&K Pradesh Congress Committee & earlier he was National Spokesperson of Indian Youth Congress and National Coordinator of IYC whereas he also remained in-charge of many states.
Iftkhar started his career as college president NSUI Rajouri and then gradually got elevated as State General secretary and Vice President NSUI.
Meanwhile, ex-MLA Rajouri (PDP), Ch.Qamar Hussain has filed his nomination as a PDP candidate from newly constituted 87-Thanamandi (ST) constituency at Thanamandi. He was accompanied by a large number of PDP supporters.
According to the initial report PDP has an edge over NC, BJP in this constituency. He asked the people of Thanamandi to cast a vote in his favour for overall development in this newly constituted constituency.
“I am the only candidate belonging to this constituency among other candidates who are contesting from this seat,” said Qamar Hussain.
Ch Zulfikar Ali, BJP candidate from 86-Budhal constituency, on Monday continued his hectic campaign and held meetings at several places to woo the voters in his favour.
