Jammu May 04:–In reaction to Honourable Governor Satya Pal Malik’s announcement of “civilian traffic ban for two days per week”, the Central Secretary Jammu Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) and former Deputy Chairman Legislative Council & Ex-MLA, Javed Ahmed Ranacondemned by saying that “it is clear violation of Human Rights and arbitrary order which deprived the general public for their basic rights”. He said, a lot of chaos has been created by banning civilian traffic on highway, with people pleading forces to allow them to move. He further reiterated that this ban is an inhuman order and has led human disaster. “The National highway is lifeline for people of state and we demand the order to be revoked” said Mr Rana.
Mr Rana gave a clarion call by saying that “the people of state don’t have to take permission from Govt of India to move on its roads”. He further appealed people not to listen to such hoodwinking bans and maintain peace against such unlawful orders. “The decision is absolutely absurd and will have indirect impact on lives of lakhs of people both economically and socially”, said Mr Rana. “Instead of giving healing touch, kashmiris are intentionally subjected to alienation and abuses” said Mr Rana, lamently.
He applauded all the regional political parties for raising one voice, coming together and leaving all their differences against this inexplicable order. It has conveyed a strong message and may stop all these atrocities.
Mr Rana emphasized that the the Govt is hell-bent to guillotinize the Human Rights in state and the latest testimony was an attack on a pious man namely Maulana Abdul Hamid Naimi, from Loren (Poonch), who was brutally assaulted by Para-military forces in Kulgam district. He demanded legal action against such atrocities and FIR to be lodged to stop such shameless activities to re-happen in future. He hankered and appealed the Governor to maintain “Zero Tolerance” and instigate a fair probe into the matter. Extrajudicial executions are widespread and Kashmiri people are arbitrarily and illegally detained.
