JAMMU DECM 24:-J P World School celebrated its Annual Day with great enthusiasm and festive spirit, commemorating 20 glorious years of togetherness. The event was organised around the theme “Rekindling the Yuletide Spirit,” spreading the message of love, compassion, joy and unity associated with Christmas.

The programme began with a warm welcome to the management, Chairperson Dr. Panna Manhas Choudhary , Chief Guest Mr. Satish Sharma , Cabinet Minister for Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Transport, Science & Technology, Information Technology, Youth Services & Sports, ARI and Training, Government of Jammu & Kashmir, along with an esteemed panel of Guests of Honour. These included Mr. Rahul Sahai (Chairman, Indian Chamber of Commerce, J&K), Mr. Ashok Kumar Khajuria (Director Finance, Youth Services & Sports), Mr. Rayaz Hussain (Director Finance, Industry & Commerce), Mr. Vivek Shekhar (SP North), Mr. Pardeep Dutta (Consulting Editor, NDTV), Principal Ms. Aparna Kohli, parents and members of the school community.

The event formally commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolising hope, wisdom and the triumph of light over darkness. A major highlight of the celebration was the inauguration of the school’s new song, reflecting the institution’s vision, values and journey of excellence over the past two decades.

Addressing the gathering, Chairperson Dr. Panna Manhas Choudhary congratulated the school on completing 20 successful years in the field of education. She emphasised the importance of value-based education, holistic development and nurturing compassionate global citizens.
Principal Ms. Aparna Kohli, in her address, reflected on the school’s remarkable journey, academic achievements and co-curricular milestones. She expressed gratitude to the management, staff, parents and students for their collective efforts in making the institution a beacon of excellence.

The cultural programme brought the theme “Rekindling the Yuletide Spirit” to life through a captivating blend of music, dance and drama. Soulful Christmas carols, vibrant dance performances and engaging theatrical acts such as The Elf Factory and the arrival of Santa conveyed messages of kindness, empathy, social responsibility and respect for the elderly. The programme concluded with a high-energy grand finale dance that left the audience spellbound.
The ceremony also witnessed the felicitation of international and national-level players for their outstanding achievements, along with alumni and brand ambassadors for their continued association with the school. A special mention was made of Ms. Seerat Baji, IAS, a proud alumnus from Control Village, Rajouri, who secured All India Rank 516 in the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2023. Though unable to attend in person due to professional commitments, she interacted virtually, inspiring students and staff alike.

The Chief Guest and Guests of Honour were felicitated on the occasion. Addressing the gathering, Mr. Satish Sharma lauded the school’s vision, meaningful theme and commendable student performances.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing heartfelt gratitude to the management, dignitaries, parents, teachers, students and all those who contributed to making the celebration a grand success.
