RAJOURI, JULY 24:-For the implementation of Intensified Mission Indradhanush (IMI) 5.0 and U-WIN (win over-vaccination) in Nowshera Health Block, a Refresher Training of all the ZMOs, MLHPs, LHVs, ASHA Coordinator, HEs, EE, FMPHWs, Pharmacists, MMPHWs, ASHA Facilitators, and ASHAs was held on Monday at the office of BMO Nowshera.
The training of staff to scale up the U- WIN and Intensified Mission Indradhanush (IMI) 5.0 was today organized by the Family Welfare Department under the supervision of Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Dr. Rajinder Kumar; District Immunization Officer, Dr. Dev Raj; Block Medical Officer (BMO) Nowshera, Dr. Iqbal Malik and Dr. Manohar Rana.
The first round of immunization under the Intensified Mission Indradhanush (IMI) 5.0 will commence in Jammu and Kashmir in three rounds starting from August 7, 2023, officials said.
The first round of immunization will commence on August 7 and will continue till August 12, followed by the second round from September 11 to 16.
The third round will start from October 9 to 14 to cover the children up to 2 years of age and expecting mothers, for immunization.
Under the intensified Mission Indradhanush 5.0, the Government of India is going to digitalize it and it will be named U-Win (win over-vaccination).
This platform will be used to register and vaccinate every pregnant woman and register her delivery outcome and required immunizations”.
With this U-WIN the entire vaccination system, including records will get digitised, easing the tracking of beneficiaries.
“Vaccination records under UIP are being maintained manually as of now. So this will do away with the hassle of keeping a physical record. It will enable the digitisation of session planning, and updating vaccination status on a real-time basis” said an official.
Beneficiaries would be able to book slots for vaccination in advance.
Once the whole immunisation program is digitised, beneficiaries will get certificates on the spot and they can also download them if they want to.
“These certificates will be stored in digi-lockers,” an official elaborated.
An effective surveillance system will help create an evidence base to enable the planning and deployment of effective interventions.
