RAJOURI, APRIL 20:–With an aim to enforce punctuality in the government offices, special teams of the district administration constituted by the Deputy Commissioner, Vikas Kundal, today conducted surprise inspections of scores of government offices across the Rajouri district.
During day-long inspections, the teams inspected as many as 57 government offices across the district.
The official spokesman said that against 1154 officials, the teams found 1032 officials present on their legitimate duties while 17 were absent from duties.
Out of 1154 officials checked, 75 were on leave while 39 were shown on tour in the records checked, the spokesman added.
The inspection teams also informed that out of 57 government offices checked, the biometric attendance system was functioning in 38 offices and the system was found non-functional in 15 offices while the teams found no biometric system installed in 4 offices.
The heads of the institutions were asked to maintain attendance and leave records of the employees on a daily basis.
Vikas Kundal, Deputy Commissioner has directed the teams to conduct surprise inspections at regular intervals to enforce punctuality and maintain work culture in the offices for the benefit of the general public.
