REASI FEB 27:-Senior PDP leader Mohammad Farooq Inqlabi expressed deep sorrow over the tragic death of 14-year-old Paviter Singh, son of Suraj Singh, from Village Tuli in Chasana, Reasi District. The young boy lost his life while attempting to cross a water-flowing nallah at Sangore Tuli, highlighting the critical infrastructure issues in the region.
In a statement, Farooq Inqlabi strongly condemned the lack of action by the local MLA and district administration, calling the incident a direct result of their failure to address the pressing need for infrastructure development. He pointed out that there is a severe shortage of bridges over the numerous nallahs in Chasana Tehsil. Despite repeated demands from the local population for better connectivity and the construction of bridges, neither the local MLA nor the district administration has taken any effective measures to address the issue.
“This is not an isolated tragedy but a glaring example of the neglect faced by far-flung areas like Chasana. The people of this region have been deprived of basic infrastructure, and such incidents should serve as a wake-up call for the authorities to take responsibility,” said Inqlabi.
Inqlabi also demanded immediate financial support for the grieving family to help them cope with the untimely loss. He emphasized the urgency of the situation and urged the authorities to take swift action in constructing much-needed bridges and improving road connectivity in the region to prevent further tragedies.
“Immediate steps must be taken to prevent such incidents in the future. The local MLA and district administration must prioritize the well-being of the people and address their longstanding demands for infrastructure development,” Inqlabi added.
