MENDHAR DECM,05:-The Indian Army conducted an interactive visit to the Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Mendhar, engaging with students and staff to promote sports, discipline, and community participation.
During the visit, the Army encouraged local youth to take part in an upcoming marathon event, highlighting the importance of physical fitness and sportsmanship. The visiting delegation also reviewed the institute’s infrastructure and facilities, particularly the available equipment for training and sports activities, with an aim to identify areas for improvement.
A significant part of the interaction focused on strengthening civil–military coordination in the region. Officials emphasized the Indian Army’s commitment to community development and youth empowerment through various outreach programs.
They also underlined the Army’s consistent efforts in Mendhar to instill discipline, teamwork, and a spirit of healthy competition among students. The Army’s engagement was described by many as a “breath of fresh air,” boosting motivation among the youth to participate more actively in sports and extracurricular initiatives.
The collaboration between Government ITI Mendhar and the Indian Army is expected to grow further, with more such programs planned to inspire young people to embrace physical activities, sports, and community service.
