RAJOURI DEC 17:- In a solemn yet spirited tribute, the Ace of Spades Gunners honoured the martyrs and veterans on the occasion of Vijay Diwas, marking the historic victory in the Indo-Pak War of 1971. A series of commemorative events were organized, reflecting the valour and sacrifices of the armed forces, while fostering a deep connection with the local populace.
The celebrations included a Mini Marathon, a Wreath Laying Ceremony, a Blood Donation Camp, and a captivating Light and Sound Show, drawing wide participation and admiration. The events were graced by ex-servicemen, notable personalities of the region, and civil dignitaries.
The Mini Marathon promoted fitness, camaraderie, and community spirit, with participants from diverse age groups showcasing their support. At Gujjar Mandi Chowk, the Wreath Laying Ceremony became a poignant moment, where soldiers and civilians gathered to pay their respects to the heroes who laid down their lives during the 1971 war. Following this, a Blood Donation Camp underscored the importance of selfless service and aiding those in need.
The evening concluded with a Light and Sound Show, an artistic tribute celebrating Rajouri’s rich heritage and the sacrifices of the Indian Army. Through immersive storytelling and evocative soundscapes, the show left the audience deeply moved, strengthening the collective spirit of patriotism.
