INDIAN ARMY CELEBRATED NATIONAL TOURISM DAY IN KUPWARA

KUPWARA JANUARY 25 :–Every year National Tourism Day is celebrated on 25 January in all states of India to recognise India’s magnificence and spread awareness about the significance of tourism and its impact on the economy.

Indian army celebrated National Tourism Day in Kupwara. Kashmir has a rich heritage and attractive places to visit, making it a popular tourist destination. The day was celebrated to make people aware of the growth prospects of the tourism sector and how it impacts Kashmir’s economic development.

More than 50 Drivers of Tourists Taxi were briefed about the benefits of tourism boost in Kupwara. As tourism in Kashmir has been adversely affected by the pandemic COVID-19, so they were counseled and were told to take all precautionary measures to save themselves from the pandemic. Their role in promoting the tourism and also in stopping the drug trafficking thats taking place from across the border was also told to them. They pledged to eradicate this drug menace from Kupwara and to make Kupwara The Heaven on The Earth as it used to be.
On this occasion, Indian Army also distributed more than 200 locally stitched masks not just to the drivers but also to the locals present. Indian Army also thanked them for their continous help and coordination in making Kupwara a peace loving district.
