Mandi/Poonch February 13: –The chairperson and the vice chairperson of the District Development Council(DDC) Poonch were elected on Saturday 13 February 2021.
Tazeem Akhter an independent candidate from Sathra constituency was elected as Chairman, secured 9 votes.Akhter has defeated Congress candidate in Poonch who got 5 votes.The elections were held at DC Office complex Poonch.
Mohd Ashfaq from Mendhar, also an independent candidate managed to secure the post of Vice Chairperson.
