IGP Jammu visits Rajouri district, reviews situation Hails efforts of forces amid lockdown and setting up of helpline desks

Rajouri April 13 :- In order to get a first hand appraisal of the ground situation amid prevailing lockdown due to Corona virus pandemic, Inspector General of Police, Jammu zone, IPS Mukesh Singh visited Rajouri district.

During his visit, IGP Jammu Mukesh Singh accompanied with Deputy Inspector General of Rajouri Poonch range, IPS Vivek Gupta.

Senior Superintendent of Police Rajouri Chandan Kohli IPS and other officers visited the main town Rajouri and took stock of the situation on ground.

During visit, officer met with personnel of Jammu and Kashmir police and Central Paramilitary Forces who are deployed on ground for implementation of restrictions and lockdown imposed in wake of COVID19 pandemic.

IGP complimented the pro-active and dedicated approach of personnel who are Frontline workers and are performing duties day in and day out.

Later, IGP Jammu Mukesh Singh visited District Police Lines Rajouri and examined the quarantine facility establihed in Police Lines for COVID19.

IGP Jammu chaired a meeting in DPL which was attended by all senior officers of the district and CAPF.

SSP Rajouri briefed IGP Jammu regarding the efforts in place to ensure a strict lockdown in prevention to COVID19.
SSP gave a presentation in which he mentioned the Helpline Desks established by Rajouri Police for Senior citizens and for the person in need of medicines, which have received good response.
He also mentioned the action initiated against the violators.

IGP Jammu expressed satisfaction on the effective implementation of lockdown guidelines and further directed to ensure that supply of essential commodities is maintained.
