House Owner Booked for Violating Tenant Verification Norms in Nowshera; FIR Registered

RAJOURI DECM, 04:-The Rajouri Police have taken strict action against a house owner in Nowshera for violating mandatory tenant verification guidelines issued by the District Magistrate.

According to officials, Police Station Nowshera received credible information that Mohd. Rafiq, son of Abdul Rashid, resident of Ward No. 03, Nowshera, had rented out a room to three persons hailing from Kashmir without conducting the compulsory tenant verification with the local police.

Taking cognizance of the violation, Police Station Nowshera registered FIR No. 183/2025 under Section 223 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) against the house owner.

The police have once again urged the general public to strictly follow the tenant verification guidelines laid down by the District Magistrate, warning that any breach will attract stringent legal action under the law.
