HANDWARA MAY 13:-–In order to contain the menace of illicit sale of narcotics, Handwara Police recovered charas like substance and arrested one person.
A police party of Police Station Kralgund while on naka checking at Ananwan crossing on Kralgund-Ashpora road apprehended one person who had attempted to evade the police party in a suspicious manner. On search, around 106 grams of Charas like substance was recovered from his possession. The person has been identified as Parvaiz Ahmad Shah S/o Mohd Subhan R/o Kralgund.
FIR No.27/2022 under relevant sections of NDPS Act has been registered at PS Kralgund, accused arrested and investigation initiated.
The general public is requested to share information related to drug peddling so that appropriate action under law can be initiated.
