GSRDS Rajouri holds mass protest against BDC Chairman for making casteist slurs.

RAJOURI, AUGUST 02:–Members of Guru Shri Ravi Dass Sabha (GSRDS)Rajouri led by its president Kewal Krishan on Tuesday here at Rajouri held a massive protest demonstration allegedly against BDC Chairman (Sunderbani) for making highly objectionable casteist slurs against the people of the Schedule Caste community.
Terming people like Block Development Council (BDC) Chairman, Sunderbani, Arun Sharma as big threats for social and communal fabric of the country, the protesters demanded action against Arun Sharma under Schedule Caste & Schedule Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act 1989.
Reportedly sources said, in a viral audio clip went viral on social media platforms& various online news portals, BDC Chairman allegedly can be listened using highly derogatory casteist slurs against 2-3 senior District Officers.
BDC Chairman also used highly objectionable & unparliamentarily language against a senior police officer in the viral audio clip.
Members of GSRDS, Rajouri said that a case fits to take action against the BDC Chairman under Schedule Castes & Schedule Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act 1989 read with its 2015 amendment which reads ‘punished casteist slurs & denied anticipatory bail to the accused.
The protesters took out a rally from Dr. B R Ambedkar Park to Salani Highway Stop and staged this protest raising slogans against BDC Chairman Sunderbani Arun Sharma.
“Arun Sharma is holding an important position in democratic setup, but his language and behaviour clearly shows that he is having an ideology against SC community” said protesters.
“The way he is spitting venom against people of SC community is completely unfortunate and disgusting.” Protesters said.
They added BDC Chairman not even spared senior officers like District Magistrate, Additional District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police level and crossed all boundaries in using abusive language against these officers who are important pillars of society.
“We only demand the immediate arrest of BDC Chairman Sunderbani, Arun Sharma and to remove him from this responsible post as he is a big threat for society” the protesters said.
They further demanded that BDC Chairman should be dealt strictly under the law and with iron hands to teach other such elements a lesson.
