Govt employees attended political meeting. Rajouri Adm to seek explanation.

RAJOURI MARCH 03:–District Rajouri Administration is all set to seek explanation from more than two dozen government employees, including Naib Tehsildar, AEEs, JEs, cops, etc, for participating a political meeting allegedly in the house of a cop in Kheora locality of Rajouri town on February 23 (Friday).
When contacted Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Om Parkash Bhagat said: “Head of the concerned departments have been directed to seek explanation from those employees who allegedly have attended the political meeting in Kheora”.

Sources said that on February 23 these employees, also including some professors, doctors, teachers, arranged and participated in a political meeting in the house of a serving cop which was attended by former minister and NC leader Mian Altaf (NC’s probable candidate for Anantnag-Rajouri Lok Sabha seat).

On the other hand, supporters of the political party on social media platforms refuted the allegations of ‘political meeting’ and said that Mian Altaf belongs to a religious family & people meet him to seek his blessings.
It is pertinent to mention here that Mian Bashir Ahmed Larvi (veteran Gujjar leader and renowned religious personality) remained the Sajada Nasheen of Darbar Baba Ji Sahib Larvi in Wangat Kangan, in Ganderbal District.

Before his death (in August 2021), he had nominated his son and former J&K minister Mian Altaf Ahmed as his successor as Sajada Nasheen Darbar Baba Ji Sahib Larvi.
Sources further said that the agencies have already submitted some videos and photos of the government employees who attended Mian Altaf’s meeting to higher authorities for further action.

The presence of many government employees, including officers, in Mian Altaf’s meeting that too during working hours and in a house of a serving cop also raises fingers.
