Global Peace Foundation opens its first free open library in Jammu

Jammu April 13:– Global Peace Foundation, A philoptropic organization has opened its first free open library in Jammu to benefit the students and all those people who can’t afford to bear the expenses of the expensive books and heavy charges of the private libraries. The foundation has thrown the library particularly for the poor and destitute students who are endowed with enormous talent but lag behind due to dearth of study material and proper study environment.

The library will cater the needs of the whole student community and general community as well to bring back the culture of reading and intellectual discussions and discourse. The study centre cum library will be a common place for study as well as book lending centre more particularly for the poor students preparing for different competitive examinations. The library will be easy accessible to the students where they can borrow the academic and competitive examinations books and material free of cost.

While divulging the details of the free open library trustee and founder of the foundation Junaid Malik said that they are making every possible effort to empower the children through the tool of education which will eventually empower the country and the world. He further said that the purpose of the foundation is to bring every child and more particularly the girls in the ambit of formal education to eradicate the menace of exploitation and deprivation from the society itself.

The library has been located in central position of the city in channi Rama jammu national highway bypass so that it could be easily accessible to students thus making them reach by easy public transport or by foot from in and around the urban/ rural areas itself.

The library has books and study material for all the competitive and academic examinations apart from the books on fun learning and brain development tool kits. The management of the foundation has resolved to open more such libraries in all districts of the region in UT to reach maximum needy students who can benefit themselves through free libraries.
