GDC Kishtwar conducts second phase of Campus Cleanliness Drive.

Kishtwar September 28-:–Government Degree College kishtwar today conducted second phase of Campus Cleanliness Drive in collaboration with JK Ecowatch Organisation as a part of series of activities scheduled to celebrate 151st Mahatama Gandhi Jayanti under the patronage of Prof. Anirudh Sharma, Principal GDC Kishtwar and convenorship of Prof. Sonika Sen, HOD Sociology.

While speaking on the occasion Prof. Anirudh once again stressed upon the value of cleanliness in our daily life. Clean and green sorroundings can save our environment, ecosystem and nuture life on earth. He further added that it is need of the hour that we all should inculcate the values of cleanliness in our lives and make continous efforts to keep the sorrounding clean. Swach Bharat Abhiyan is being taken up very enthusiastically all over India under flagship of Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi.

During the cleanliness drive, faculty members of the college and volunteers of JK Eco-watch organization participated actively. They were provided gloves and sanitizers. The programme focussed on cleaning up college campus and creating awareness among the society in general and students in particular. The organising committee has organised other activities like online quiz , plantation drive, online painting competition in last few days to celebrate 151st Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti.
