HANDWARA OCTOBER 31: In a spirited celebration of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, the Langate Forest Division in Range Rajwar took a major initiative to promote environmental sustainability through an impactful plantation drive.
BDC Chairperson Rajwar, Shaheena Bano, was the Chief Guest for this occasion.
The plantation drive was attended by DFO Langate, DD FPF Kupwara, AD FPF Langate, RO Rajwar, along with various government employees, students, volunteers, and local residents. They planted a variety of saplings, including indigenous tree species, flowering plants, and shrubs, at Range Rajwar Compartment 16.
DFO Langate said that Rashtriya Ekta Diwas is an occasion to celebrate our rich culture, as well as the spirit of unity. He mentioned that by coming together for the plantation drive, their aim is to enhance the green cover in their division and create a more welcoming and soothing atmosphere for future generations.
“We believe that a green and clean environment is the cornerstone of a prosperous community,” said BDC Rajwar.
The drives were conducted under the direct supervision of Irfan Rasool, Conservator of Forests, Kashmir North Circle, Sopore.
