FIR Registered for allegedly Raising objectionable slogans by Kalakote Police

RAJOURI APRIL 12:–Kalakote police in Rajouri district have registered a case against a few persons for allegedly showing people raising objectionable slogans in an edited video during a procession followed by Eid prayers.
District Police Office Rajouri in a rebuttal issued on Friday said that a video has been circulated on social media in which some objectionable slogans are heard during a procession in Kalakote area of Rajouri.
“During initial analysis, it has been found that the video
is edited/unoriginal in nature with audio of slogans added to create unrest,” reads the police statement.
Police have viewed it seriously and a Case in FIR No.21/2024 has been registered at police station Kalakote under relevant sections of law,” District Police Office said.
Police have appealed to the people not to fall prey to rumours and to avoid sharing videos’ which shall attract strict legal action.
Reliable sources said that reportedly three persons have uploaded this edited viral video on social media platform having objectionable slogans in the background of the procession.
Sources added on Friday police have arrested one while the other two are still at large.
District Rajouri police on Wednesday had also warned of strict legal action against social media users who attempted to divert a minor issue of scuffle, between few people over a path in Teryath tehsil of Rajouri district, to spread communal tension.
District Police Office in a rebuttal on Wednesday said that due to a prevailing dispute/confrontation overcome a path, some people entered in verbal duel in Galhan area of Teryath tehsil in Rajouri district.
