Financial aid ₹ 20 lakh transferred for workers under JKBOCWWB

Rajouri,March30:With an aim to aid the workers registered Jammu and Kashmir Building and other Construction workers Welfare Board, the District Development Commissioner Rajouri,Mohammad Nazir Sheikh on Monday released an amount of rupees twenty lakhs.

The DDC handed over the invoice to JK Bank Manager for DBT in presence of Assistant labour Commissioner Rajouri,Angrez Singh.

It was informed that there are two thousand Active unorganised construction workers in Rajouri district who have been rendered jobless amid the lockdown due to coronaVirus pandemic.

While briefing,the District Development Commissioner Rajouri Mohammad Nazir Sheikh said an amount of twenty lakh rupees has been released and the same shall be credited into the accounts of two thousand registered workers with one thousand for every worker and this is the initial aid .

Pertinent to mention here that District Administration Rajouri has taken a slew of measures to deal with the impact of Lockdown.

The DDC said that District Administration Rajouri is committed to provide all the facilities to the public, Labourers and migrant workers who are stranded in their houses amid the nation wide lockdown.
