Farooq Inqlabi Demands Extension of PMAY (Grameen) Verification Deadline in Rajouri

RAJOURI FEBRUARY 13:-Senior PDP leader Mohammad Farooq Inqlabi has urged the District Administration Rajouri to immediately extend the deadline for verification of beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Grameen).
In a statement issued here today, Inqlabi said that it has come to his notice that today is the last date fixed by the Rural Development Department for verification of the beneficiaries list. However, as per reports from various blocks, only around 15 percent of the verification process has been completed so far.

He expressed serious concern that if the deadline is not extended, a large number of genuine and deserving beneficiaries may be unfairly excluded from the scheme. “Housing is a basic necessity, and poor rural families who qualify under the scheme must not suffer due to administrative delays or procedural constraints,” he said.

Inqlabi emphasized that many far-flung and remote areas require additional time for proper field verification. He appealed to the Deputy Commissioner Rajouri to intervene personally and ensure that sufficient time is granted so that all genuine beneficiaries are verified in a transparent and fair manner.He reiterated that denying eligible families their rightful support under PMAY (Grameen) would amount to grave injustice and urged the administration to act swiftly in the larger public interest.
