JAMMU NOV 11:-Senior People’s Democratic Party (PDP) leader, Farooq Inqlabi, has strongly condemned the Doda administration for its recent move to impose the Public Safety Act (PSA) on a prominent social activist Rehmatullah Paddar in the region.

In a statement issued here today, Inqlabi expressed deep concern over what he called a blatant attempt to silence voices of dissent and activism. The social activist, known for advocating for the rights of marginalized communities, was detained under the PSA, which Inqlabi described as “a draconian measure used to curb freedom of expression.”

Inqlabi stated, “The administration’s action is an affront to democracy and an attack on those who are working tirelessly for the betterment of society. It is alarming that individuals who are simply voicing their concerns and seeking justice for the oppressed are being targeted and subjected to such repressive laws.”

The senior PDP leader called on human rights organizations, civil society groups, and the people of Jammu and Kashmir to stand in solidarity with the activist and demand an immediate review of the PSA order. He further urged the Doda administration to release the activist and ensure that their fundamental rights are protected.

Inqlabi concluded by emphasizing that such tactics will not deter the people’s movement for justice, peace, and equality, and vowed to continue advocating for the rights of the voiceless.
