WADURA MAY 22:–Around 60 students of Faculty of Agriculture, SKUAST-K Wadura campus along with their faculty members join hands for conservation of environment to mark the International Day for Biological Diversity on 22-05-2022. It is to mention here that 22nd May is marked as a day for creating awareness about biodiversity issues engulfing the world today. Theme, for this year was Building a Shared Future For All Life. Biodiversity Club in collaboration with NSS unit of FoA has organized this program on the directions of Prof Raihana Habib Kanth, Dean of the faculty who has been instrumental boosting students to take part in such programs. Our students are actively working towards safeguarding Mother Earth by creating awareness programs through Nature walks and social media. Prof. Raihana said.
Students got chance to visit Medicinal Plants Resource Centre, Potato Seed farm, and
Betula Conservation project at Khamoh Rafiabad. Faculty thanked Mr Irfan Rasool Wani IFS Conservator of forests, North Circle Kashmir for facilitated the said exposure visit.
