RAJOURI, NOVEMBER 02:—During the 4th edition of Back to Village (B2V4) program, 881 beneficiaries have been provided self-employment loans amounting t o Rs 13.78 crore in the Rajouri district.
“Besides providing a platform to the people of the district to get their grievances redressed, B2V4 program has also provided opportunities to the unemployed and educated youth of the district to avail self-employment opportunities in the rural areas,” said a senior officer.
“Empowering the youth is among the topmost priorities of the UT Government and concrete measures are being taken to enable the youth to stand on their own so that they can live a respectable life in society. Major focus is being laid on livelihood generation activities with an aim to make the youth job creators rather than job seekers,” the officer added.
As a part of B2V4, a special focus on self-employment generation activities has been kept & the huge participation of the youths was observed during the program, which availed benefits of schemes and programs launched for their welfare.
“It is due to the untiring efforts put in by the Line Departments and Banks that as many as 881 unemployed and educated youth of the district have been provided self-employment under different self-employment generation schemes and an amount of Rs 13.78 crore has been disbursed as loan,” said the officer.
The fourth edition of the Back to Village program is an action-packed deliverable-oriented program with a focus on Youth, skills and self-employment, Good Governance, and Panchayati Raj, Nasha Mukt, Rozgar Yukt J&K.
The youth of the district appreciated the UT Govt for providing them with financial assistance in a very short span of time and has made an appeal for continuing such programs in the future also.
Rajouri District Administration under the overall guidance and supervision of the Deputy Commissioner, Vikas Kundal, is making untiring efforts to encourage the unemployed and educated youth of the district to avail self-employment generation schemes.
Recently, 138 cases under Mumkin and Tejaswini schemes of the Mission Youth were approved by the District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) in its meeting chaired by Vikas Kundal.
Meanwhile, under B2V4 program the Visiting Officer, Bilal Ahmed Dar inspected various developmental projects in Sagote Panchayat Halqa in Dhangri block of Rajouri district.
The Visiting Officer was accompanied by Sarpanch, Sanjeev Kumar Mangu; Pankaj Sharma, Chaman Lal, Nasir Hussain, Shamsher Singh, Ch Liqyat Hussain, all Panches, and VLW Shaid Jatt.
Sanjeev Kumar Mangu Sarpanch Sagote thanked Visiting Officer and appealed to the Lt Governor Administration to fulfill their demands projected before the Visiting Officer during B2V4 program.
