Mandi/Poonch October 15:–Dr. Shamim Ahmed Banday chairman super 30 College of Competitions on Thursday paid tributes to A.P.J Abdul Kalam.
He said that, beside being a great scientist, kalam was also a great human being.
Dr. Shamim Ahmed Banday called Dr Kalam a true Karma Yogi and said after Mahatma Gandhi it was Dr Kalam who influenced the people of the country on such a large scale.Born in 1931 in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu, APJ Abdul Kalam was an aerospace scientist and politician. He assumed office as the 11th President of India in 2002 and served till 2007. Fondly known as the Missile Man of India, Dr Kalam was celebrated for his work on the development of ballistic missile and launch vehicle technology.
Apart from winning numerous accolades, Dr Kalam is also the recipient of the Padma Bhushan, Padma Vibhushan and the Bharat Ratna,he added.
