Rajouri March 26:–District Level Coordination -cum-Screening Committee (DLCCS) Rajouri under the chairmanship of Rajesh Kumar Shavan, Deputy Commissioner today sanctioned Rs 12.20 lakh compensation/ex-gratia relief in favour of 32 militancy/cross border shelling related cases.,
A meeting of District Level Coordination-cum-Screening Committee (DLCCS) was chaired by Rajesh Kumar Shavan, Deputy Commissioner and was attended by Liyaqat Chowdhry; Additional SP; Dr. Shamim-un-Nisa, CMO; Mohd Ashraf, ACR; Wakeel Ahmed, District Social Welfare Officer; Mohd Rafiq, Javed Iqbal, Raju Sambyal, Tehsildars of Rajouri, Manjakot & Nowshera respectively, and representatives of the Army & Paramilitary forces.
DLCCS cleared 32 cases related to militancy and cross border shelling and sanctioned Rs 12.20 lakh compensation in favour of the affected families.
“As many as 34 cases were put before the committee out of which 32 were cleared and the rest two deferred due to want of papers or other documents” said an official.
Rs 5.81 lakh has been sanctioned in favour of 17 persons whose houses were damaged in the cross border shelling and an amount of Rs 3.39 lakh as ex-gratia relief in favour of 11 persons whose cattle died, he added.
He further said an amount of Rs 3.00 lakh has been sanctioned in favour of 4 persons who got injured during the cross border shelling.
“Most of the cases were either pending for want of minor formalities or rejected earlier for want of required formalities which the officials processed as per the directions of the DLCCSC” said the official.
