District & Sessions Judge chairs 7th District Coordination Meeting at Rajouri

RAJOURI, JULY 23:- The 7th District Coordination Committee meeting between the Judiciary and District Administration was today convened under the chairmanship of District & Sessions Judge, Rajinder Sapru, at Raj Kumar Thapa Conference Hall, Dak Bungalow, Rajouri.

At the outset, Chief Judicial Magistrate Javed Rana (Secretary Coordination Committee) welcomed the participants and briefed the chair on various issues requiring inter-departmental coordination and follow-up action.

A major focus of the meeting was on the review of land acquisition and infrastructural development for judicial institutions. The District & Sessions Judge took stock of the status of land acquired for the construction of the boundary wall for the Court Complex at Muradpur, the removal of existing structures from the site, repair of the culvert (puli) on the approach road to the land, and the whitewashing and minor renovations of the existing District Court Complex building.

The meeting also reviewed the progress on the construction of the boundary wall at the Nowshera Court Complex and deliberated upon the pending issue of land acquisition for the same.

Other infrastructure-related issues pertaining to Munsiff Courts in Thanamandi, Darhal, Kotranka and Kalakote were also taken up, and timelines for necessary action were fixed by the chair.

Key issues discussed included the arrangement of separate seating for lady advocates, enhancement of the surveillance system at court complexes, and the installation of CCTV cameras in police stations to ensure transparency and accountability in the administration of justice.

The chair also stressed the importance of integrating digital reforms in the judicial process, including the effective implementation of e-warrants.

The meeting was attended by Additional District & Sessions Judge, Sudesh Sharma, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Javed Rana and Secretary DLSA, Shama Sharma.

The coordination meeting concluded with a mutual commitment to ensure timely resolution of issues and strengthening of infrastructure for efficient dispensation of justice in the district.

Senior officers from the district administration including SE PWD Tilak Raj Sharma, ACR Rajouri Mohd Jahangir Khan, Chief Planning Officer Maqsood Ahmed, Executive Engineer PHE Sudesh Kumar Bhagat, Executive Engineers PWD and other sectoral officers also participated in the deliberations.
