District Magistrate Rajouri Imposes restrictions under DMA, 144 CrPC.

Rajouri April 28 :–Following a petrified surge in Covid-19 active cases in the district for the last about a week, District Magistrate (DM) Rajouri under section 34 of Disaster Management Act and under section 144 CrPC has imposed some restrictions in the district.
The restrictions were imposed after reports of a large gathering in religious, social functions, marriages, and in funerals.
Issued People were found violating SOPs/ guidelines of Covid-19 by the government from time to time with impunity.
Under fresh restrictions, issued vide DM office order dated April 28, in the marriage function there will not be more then 50 persons & each has to maintain social distancing, use of mask /sentiser.
Though no prior permission is required for the marriage function, however the host has to share the information with concerned Executive Magistrate (Tehsildar/Naib Tehsildar) at least three days prior to marriage function.
Under new restrictions more than 20 persons will not be allowed for funerals while the gathering for birthday/ring ceremony functions should not exceed more than 25 persons.
Any violation of the order shall attract punitive action as warranted under relevant law; the order reads and further said that SSP shall ensure the implementation of the restrictions in letter and spirit.
The order shall remain effective till it is withdrawn through an official order.
