District Congress Committee Shopian Holds Review Meeting on Block and Town Bodies

SRINAGAR FEB 11:-The District Congress Committee (DCC) Shopian convened a significant review meeting to discuss the formation of block and town bodies and welcome new members. The meeting was chaired by District President Riyaz Ahmad Manhas, with the presence of District President Women’s Wing Shubnam Akther , Vice District President District Shopian Syed Mubashir Bashir

A major highlight of the meeting was the inclusion of prominent political figures, including Bilal Yousuf from Kaprin and Mohammad Rafiq from Pinjoora, into the party. Their induction is expected to enhance the Congress’s influence and strengthen its grassroots network in Shopian.

Discussions also centered around the upcoming Urban Local Bodies (ULB) elections, with the Women’s Wing President briefing attendees on strategies to mobilize support, particularly among women voters. Party leaders emphasized unity, active public engagement, and organizational strengthening to ensure success in the elections.

The meeting concluded with a collective commitment to bolstering the party’s presence in Shopian, reinforcing its democratic vision, and working towards the region’s development.
