SRINAGAR DEC 04:- Mohammad Faheem Reshi, Chairman of the Greater Shahr-e-Khass Group, expressed deep concerns regarding the deteriorating state of the marriage hall located at Dana Mazar in Safa Kadal. He characterized the once-prominent facility as a significant loss for the local community, as it now stands in a complete state of disrepair, serving no constructive purpose.
“In its current condition, the marriage hall stands as a stark reminder of neglected public resources,” Reshi remarked. “This facility holds immense potential for the residents of Dana Mazar and beyond, to serve as a hub for community gatherings, celebrations, and cultural events. However, due to its ongoing neglect, it has sadly transitioned into an abandoned structure, failing to fulfill its intended purpose.”
Reshi highlighted that the disrepair of the marriage hall not only diminishes local amenities but also detracts from the overall spirit and cohesion of the community. He emphasized the importance of revitalizing such spaces to foster social connections and promote local celebrations, vital to community development and morale.
The Greater Shahr-e-Khass Group calls upon local authorities and community stakeholders to prioritize the restoration of the marriage hall, ensuring its transformation back into a functional and vibrant facility that the residents of Safa Kadal rightfully deserve.
“We must recognize that investing in our community infrastructure is paramount to safeguarding our cultural identity and promoting events that unite us,” Reshi added. “Neglecting a vital public space only further alienates our residents from experiences that bring joy and togetherness.”
The Greater Shahr-e-Khass Group is committed to advocating for the restoration of the marriage hall and is eager to engage in dialogue with local authorities to establish a plan for its refurbishment. Together, we can breathe new life into community spaces that reflect the rich heritage and aspirations of our people.
