RAJOURI JUNE 05:-In a significant outreach initiative aimed at addressing the concerns of people living in remote and far-flung areas, DIG Rajouri-Poonch Range, Tejinder Singh, today visited HS Thana (Harichumma) in Kalakote subdivision. He was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma & SSP Rajouri, Gaurav Sikarwar.
The senior officers held a Public Grievance Redressal Camp at the Government High School Thana, where they listened to the issues and demands of the local residents. A large number of people from surrounding villages attended the camp and raised concerns related to road connectivity, healthcare, drinking water, power supply, and other civic amenities.
Addressing the gathering, DIG Tejinder Singh reiterated the commitment of the administration and police to ensure peace & security in remote and border areas. He stressed the importance of maintaining close coordination between the public and law enforcement agencies to curb anti-social elements and promote harmony.
Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Shri Abhishek Sharma, gave a patient hearing to the public grievances and issued on-spot directions to the concerned departments for redressal of several issues. He assured that all genuine demands will be taken up with the appropriate authorities for time-bound resolution.
SSP Rajouri, Gaurav Sikarwar, highlighted the importance of community policing and encouraged youth to stay away from drugs and anti-national elements. He also briefed the public on various security-related initiatives being undertaken in the region.
ADC Kalakote, Tanvir Ahmed co-ordinated the proceedings of the camp and assured the locals that their concerns will be followed up earnestly.
