Deputation of Haq Insaaf Council called upon Delimitation Commission at SKICC Srinaga ; We Demand Poonch Muzaffarabad Parliamentary Constituency

SRINAGAR APRIL 05:–Today a Deputation of Haq Insaaf Council called upon Delimitation Commission at Srinagar. Adv Syed Zeshan while representing his Parliamentary Constituency apprised the Commission that there is no compatibility of Poonch Anantnag Parliamentary Constituency rather the Commission should recommend Poonch Muzaffarabad Parliamentary Constituency in the light of Parliamentary Resolution passed on 24 February 1994.
He requested the Commission to not align khanetar nallah of Poonch Haveli Assembly Constituency with Surankote as it will be huge injustice to atleast more than 10000 people residing there.
He further said 36384 displaced families of POJK,5 Lakh West Pak Refugees must be given representation in Parliament and Assembly by opening reserved seats of POJK. We can’t afford to Demean our Bilateral Dispute by delimitation.Any Delimitation without Mentioning Illegally Occupied Territory of Jammu Kashmir by Pakistan will not only demean Indian Union Stand on Jammu Kashmir but also Violate the Resolution Passed by both Houses of Indian Parliament in the year 1994.
Delimitation Commission took serious note of the objections and suggestions made by Haq Insaaf Council and assured of appropriate consideration of demands.
Those who were accompanying Chairman include Abdul Qayoom Wani, Mehraj Ud Din Bhat and Bashir Ahmed.
