Delegation led by Huda Zariwala Meets SSP Ganderbal

SRINAGAR AUGUST 22:-International Journalist and Political Analyst Huda Zariwala, Farhan Kitab, and Muhammad Altaf Dar met with Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ganderbal, Khalil Poswal, to discuss concerns regarding a viral photo circulating of Huda Zariwala on social media. The image inaccurately portrays Huda Zariwala as the sister of a victim in the Sehpora Ganderbal murder case.

During the meeting, SSP Khalil Poswal assured the Delegation led by Huda Zariwala that police department’s support in addressing the issue. Huda Zariwala also submitted a formal memorandum requesting action to prevent further misuse of her image and to address the misinformation spreading online.

“This misrepresentation on social media is not only damaging but also misleading to the public. We appreciate the prompt response and support from the Ganderbal police and hope for swift action to stop the spread of false information,” said Huda Zariwala.

The group emphasized the importance of responsible social media use and urged authorities to take necessary steps to ensure that such incidents are handled with care and accuracy. SSP Poswal reiterated the police department’s commitment to supporting the community and taking appropriate measures in this matter.
