DDC Rajouri Vikas Kundal inaugurates 16 Anganwadi Centres.

RAJOURI, MARCH 17:–Constructed under the convergence mode of the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) scheme and Rural Development Department (RDD), District Development Commissioner (DDC) Rajouri, Vikas Kundal on Friday inaugurated 16 Anganwadi centers.

The newly inaugurated Anganwadi Centres are part of a larger initiative to construct 110 such centers in the district under the convergence mode of ICDS and RDD.
The cost of each Anganwadi Centre is Rs 7 lakh and will be equipped with modern facilities such as drinking water facilities, toilets, and ‘poshan vatikas’ (Nutri-gardens) to provide a healthy and hygienic environment for children.

Vikas Kundal, IAS, emphasised the importance of these centers in providing early childhood care and education.
“Anganwadi Centres play a crucial role in the overall development of children. It is our responsibility to provide them with the best possible facilities. With the construction of these 110 centers under the convergence mode of ICDS and RDD we are taking a significant step towards improving early childhood care and education infrastructure in the district, said Vikas Kendal.”

He also appreciated the efforts of teams involved in construction and equipping these centers. He urged them to continue their efforts ensuring children attending these centers receive the best possible care and education.

The DDC assured that “Construction and equipping these centers will be completed within the stipulated timeline,” said Vikas Kundal.

Others present on the occasion include BDC Rajouri, Darbar Chowdhary; BDC Dhangri, Tazheem Akhter; PO ICDS, Shoket Mehmood Malik; BDO Rajouri, Chander Kant Bhagat.
