DDC Rajouri reviews progress on NH144A ; Calls for expeditious completion of the project to benefit public in terms of connectivity

RAJOURI, AUGUST 08 :– District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today chaired a meeting of the concerned officers to review the progress on NH144A.

Officers who accompanied the DC during his visit included ADC Nowshera, Kartar Singh; Officer Commanding GREF; AC Defence, Saleem Quershi and Tehsildar Rajouri, Javed Chowdhury.

At the outset, the meeting was informed that there are a total 8 packages of the project under which the existing road is being upgraded. The packages start from Akhnoor and culminate at Poonch.

Seeking the status of compensation paid to claimants, the DDC also stressed on timely payment of compensation of structures to the rightful claimants.

While reviewing the progress on the project, the DDC directed the concerned officers to mobilize men and machinery to ensure that the work on the project is completed within the already set deadline.

The DDC also directed to maintain quaility while executing the work on the projects and also made it clear that no laxity shall be tolerated in this regard.

For timely clearance of the developmental bottlenecks, he also asked to maintain interdepartmental coordination and hold regular meetings to sort out issues, if any.
