DDC Rajouri reviews progress of works under district/State sector* _Languishing projects finalised for submission under district sector and BADP._

Rajouri Jan.29:District Development Commissioner,Rajouri, Mohammad Aijaz Asad on tuesday convened a meeting with the district and sectoral officers to review the progress on languishing and mega developmental projects and action taken report on decisions taken for resolving issues of public interest.

The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner,CPO,CEO Tourism,XEN PHE,Xen PMGSY Rajouri/Budhal,XEN R&B Rajouri and Nowshera, Chief Education officer, XEN JKPCC Rajouri and concerned District/Sectoral officers.

The expenditure detail of different schemes was informed through power point presentation.
The DDC took detailed stock of works going on within the district. He directed the executing agencies to raise the genuine bills. He directed the officers to update their expenditure details. XEN PWD informed the DDC that their major project under CRF is delayed due to non-clearance of forest area.

A detailed duscussion on languishing projects was also held. The officers of the different departments informed the DDC about the number of the languishing projects and the pace of progress going on.

XEN PWD informed the DDC that a total of 77 projects under which 50 come under Rajouri and remaing 27 under Nowshera. He told that there are 08 bridges out of which the work of 07 will be completed by 31st of march and 42 roads out of which 09 are in progress and the contract of rest is at final stage.
Under Nowshera there are 08 bridges out of which 07 work in progress.

While taking stock of PHE sector it was informed that there are 34 schemes which stand approved in languishing out of which 28 projects will be complted by 31st of march.

Similarly on the I&FC front, it was informed that there are 13 schemes which stand approved in languishing projects.

XEN I&FC assured that 09 out of 13 schemes will be complted by 31st of march.In education sector there are 10 languishing projects and 34 under PHE.

Under PHE Mechanical XEN informed that there are 43 schemes and all will be completed by 31st of march.

As for as the bunkers are concerned, the informed that Rajouri has 804 individual bunkers out of which 53 have been tendered and 215 community bunkers out of which 46 tendered and the work is going on on eight.

The DDC asked the ground water agency to submit the list of water stress habilitation areas so that the required number of handpumps can be installed.

Moreover DDC also approved the languishing projects under District and BADP sector for submission.

The DDC stressed upon concerned officers to complete the ongoing projects within stipulated time frame and create durable and tangible assets. The officers were asked to work with added zeal and dedication and in close coordination for the development of the district.

He stressed prioritizing the completion of major projects including mega projects like GMC Rajouri,Badala Mang bridge,Abdullah bridge, Circular road,Ans Irrigation canal, Degree college at kalakote, Eklaviya Model Residential building at Gurdan bala.The DDC said that any laxity in this regard shall be dealt strictly.

He also reviewed the initiatives taken for improving skill development and capacity building.
Various issues like creation of B grade posts in CHC, shortage of man power,buffer stock were also discussed.
