DDC Rajouri inspects RDD works at block Doongi ; Three Recreational spots to be developed en route Rajouri

RAJOURI, SEPTEMBER 22: District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Rajesh K Shavan today conducted an extensive tour of the block Doongi and inspected the progress on a number of developmental works being executed there.

DDC was accompanied by the BDC Chairperson Doongi, Raiz Chowdhury; Sarpanch JagMohan Kaur; ACD, Sushil Khajuria; Tehsildar Nowshera, BDO, Mohd Arief besides other officials of the RDD during his visit.

At panchayat Narian West, where a protection wall is being constructed under IWMP along the riverside to protect the area from the flash floods, the DDC asked the officer concerned to speed up the construction work .

ACD was asked to carry out plantation in the area to enhance beauty of the area and to protect the soil erosion.

ACD has also been asked to develop three tourist recreational spots in the forest areas between Nowshera and Rajouri to ease the journey of the tourists where they can take rest during their visit to the district.

He also inspected three bowlis being constructed under IWMP at the Narian West Panchayat and passed necessary directions to the concerned for timely completion of the work on the assets.

Concerning the establishment of a trauma center between Rajouri and Nowshera, the concerned officer from the revenue department has been directed to identify suitable land for the said purpose.

DDC asked the concerned officers from RDD to accelerate the pace of developmental process in the block and ensure that all the works are completed within already fixed deadlines so that the public of the area is benefited with the completion of the works.

He also directed them to take all necessary measures for maintaining the quality standards in construction works and pay regular field visits to monitor the progress on the works.
