RAJOURI, JAN, 03:-District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma, today visited Heritage site at Lah Wali Bowli and conducted a detailed inspection of the site & reviewed the DPR.
During the visit, the District Development Commissioner directed the concerned departments to undertake stone masonry work without disturbing the natural source of water, emphasizing the need to preserve the traditional water structure in its original form. He further instructed for proper demarcation of the area, removal of encroachments, ensuring cleanliness, and fencing of the Bowli to protect it from misuse and degradation.
DDC also directed the creation of separate designated space for washing of clothes, provision of toilet facilities, and development of a smooth and safe pathway leading towards the Bowli for the convenience of the public, especially women and elderly visitors.
Stressing the importance of conservation of traditional water bodies, the DDC asked the officers to ensure timely execution of works with quality standards and regular monitoring.
The District Development Commissioner was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Malikzada Sheraz ul Haq, SDM Thanamandi Abid Hussain, Tehsildar Thanamandi Mazhar Ali, BDO Ahtisaham, Executive Engineer Thanamandi Sajad Khan, AEE Rana Iqbal, besides other district and sectoral officers.
