DDC Rajouri Holds Meeting to resolve bottlenecks in Implementation of JTFRP

Rajouri 20 May: In order to iron out the issues regarding construction of School buildings under the component “Reconstruction and strengthening of critical Infrastructure of Jhelum and Tawi River Flood Recovery Project(JTFRP)”, the District Development Commissioner Mohammad Aijaz Asad today convened a meeting with the concerned officers in his office chamber.

The meeting was attended by Chief Education Officer Rajouri, Divisional Forest Officer Rajouri, Tehsildar Koteranka, tehsildar Sunderbani and concerned Zonal Education Officers.

A detailed discussion was held during the meeting regarding various issues of construction of school building under the component Reconstruction and strengthening of critical infrastructure of JTFRP.

Chief Education Officer Rajouri informed the DDC that there are 11 school buildings to be constructed under JTFRP out of which four school buildings have disputes which have delayed the process of start of work .

Regarding PS Pangrain, it was informed that the school building is in forest land and and it requires title verification before proceeding on construction process.
The DDC directed the CEO education to put up a proposal to higher authorities for the transfer of land from forest department to education department and also complete the paperwork within shortest possible time.

Regarding PS Rajgarh, the chair was informed that the land is available but three rooms of the building are old and quite unsafe. The DDC directed the concerned officer to submit a proposal regarding the construction of the new building ,so that the decision could be taken up for the start of work.

As far as the School building of PS Dragger is concerned, the CEO informed that there is only one room presently and land is required for the construction of the building. CEO Rajouri shall visit the spot and furnish report in this regard. The DDC directed the CEO education and revenue authorities to identify the land for the construction of school building and submit the report within two days.

Regarding MS Budhal, the concerned ZEO informed that there are two blocks of land, one with 01 kanal of land and another with 10 marlas. He further informed that the building that was constructed in second block with 10 marlas of land is unsafe and is required to be dismantled.

Directions were issued for the demolition of unsafe building and construction of new building at the same site.

DDC urged the concerned officers to monitor the progress and address any issue hindering the execution of the project. He stressed upon fast tracking the implementation of JTFRP in order to achieve the project objectives within the set timelines.
