DDC Rajouri finalises ₹5.54 crore BADP plan 2019-20* Developmental outcomes to be monitored

Rajouri, April,25: In order to finalize the BADP Plan for the year 2019-20, District Development Commissioner, Rajouri, Mohammad Aijaz Asad today convened a meeting of concerned District level and block level officer in the office chamber.

All the concerned departments presented their physical targets and achievements under BADP for the financial year 2018-19 as well as the proposed targets for the financial year 2019-20

A detailed discussion was held to finalize the sector-wise /component wise annual BADP Plan for the year 2019-20. After the threadbare discussion was held with regard to prioritization of the work under the BADP for the year 2019-20 worth 5.54 crores.

The DDC impressed upon them to follow all the norms and achieve their targets well in time to prevent cost escalation.DDC advised the concerned officers to show only high impact schemes. He also directed the officers to put forth the previous year ongoing works on first priority and later only the high impact schemes should be reflected in the new financial year plan. He also directed to complete the works during this current financial year only.

In order to provide water to the water-stressed areas, district development commissioner kept special proviso for the digging of hands pumps so that the sufferings of the people get mitigated during this summer.

While taking the review of the RDD in BADP sector DDC advised the officers of RDD to construct durable assets like community halls and other durable assets like tractor roads and underscored the need to focus on the convergence of BADP with other schemes to create productive assets in the border villages for the benefit of the people.

Regarding the monitoring of the works undertaken, DDC said, besides regular inspection by the quality monitoring teams a special impact analysis will be done to bring out it on paper how BADP helped in the development of the border villages.

Emphasis was given to infrastructure, agriculture,social sectors,Health,Education and sports sectors in terms of PWD,PHE,I&FC,RDD,Health,PDD and education department. Rational financial ceiling was fixed for each department as per the rules/directions of Ministry of Home affairs GoI.
The ceiling was fixed keeping in view the length of the LoC, population of the area.

DDC also directed the concerned officer to submit the utilization certificates as per the format provided to them.

The meeting was attended by Chief Planning officer, Rajouri, XEN PHE/PDD/I&FC, Rajouri and Nowshera, Block Development officers Rajouri, Thanamnadi, Planager, Seri, Siot, and kalakote.
