DDC Poonch holds meeting with PRI members of block Surankote, discusses issues and demands
Diirects to ensure effective monitoring of developmental schemes
Poonch,July 27:–The Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Rahul Yadav on Monday convened a meeting of the Panchayat Raj institution members of the block Surankote to take first hand appraisal of their issues and demands of their areas.
Officers from the district administration including SDM Surankote, Chief Medical Officer, Tehsildar Surankote, Chief Education Officer, Assistant Regional Transport Officer, and concerned officers from Agriculture, Horticulture, Fisheries and other district and sectoral officers were present during the meeting.
The PRI members during the meeting raised various issues and demands of their areas including immediate augmentation of power supply and medicare facilities,improvement in the drinking water supply, improvement in road condition.
Specific issues which were projected in the meeting include upgradation of middle school Hari Upper-A, blacktopping of Eidgah to Sangla road, completion of work on Kallar Katter bridge and other public issues which demands immediate interventions.
The District Development Commissioner after giving a patient hearing to the issues raised during the meeting said that district administration Poonch is committed to provide all the basic facilities at the doorsteps of the public and necessary steps are being taken to ensure the same. He assured them that all their genuine demands and issues will be redressed in a phased manner.
The District Development Commissioner said that the PRI members can play an important role to ensure the proper development of their areas by making suitable plans as per the requirements of their areas after through resource mapping of the panchayats.
He asked them to ensure effective monitoring of developmental schemes being implemented in the areas of their respective jurisdiction.
He said that the Government has launched various welfare schemes and programme for the people and asked the PRI members to generate awareness among the masses about the same so that they can avail themselves of these schemes and programme.
He also urged upon the PRI members to aware the masses about the CoronaVirus infection and also make sure that all the SOPs guidelines are properly followed in their areas so that the safety of the general public from the deadly and invisible CoronaVirus can be ensured.
