DDC conducts extensive tour, inspects works DDC Rajouri conducts extensive tour, inspects developmental works Reviews Power and Water Supply restoration in the district GREF authorities told for widening of Panja Chowk

Rajouri Jan.23:District Development Commissioner, Rajouri , Mohammad Aijaz Asad, today conducted a comprehensive inspection of developmental projects at various sites in Rajouri town.

The DDC was accompanied bySSP,Rajouri,Yougal Manhas,CPO,Yoginder Katoch,SE PWD,ExEn PHE ,Sunil Koul,ExEN,ExEN PDD,Munshi Khan,Assistant Director Food supplies,Mukhtar Ahmed,Tehsildar Rajouri Mehmood Riyaz and other concerned officers.The DDC initiated his tour with the inspection of the Mandi market,where congestion is the main problem due to haphazard mannered parking of vehicles.

Treating the parking as grave problem,DDC directed the Executive officer Municipality Rajouri and Engineers of PWD to demarcate the parking site at Mandi with proper barricading as there is much space left after availing the standard width of the road. Road near Abdullah bridge shall have dividers very soon to streamline two way traffic.

Thereafter DDC visited at the ongoing construction work of approach road from Alternate Abdullah Bridge to District Hospital Chowk being executed by PWD.He directed the ExEn PWD(R&B) Division Rajouri to expedite the pace of work as per the actual alignment for providing much needed relief from the Traffic congestion.

DDC also visited the proposed site for the construction of Bus stand at Bella colony and took inputs from the EXEN REW and ExEN I &FC about the construction of protection bund. DDC issued necessary instructions to the engineers of PWD snd I&FC to make this functional within shortest possible time .This will further help in decongestion of the Rajouri city.

The DDC also inspected the ongoing work on Shopping Complex with a total number of 56 shops at new Bus Stand Rajouri, and directions to the executing agency have been issued for completion of rest of shops within 3 months.

In order to reduce the water crisis of the town,DDC also visited the proposed sites for digging of borewell,DDC advised ExEN PHE to submit the project keeping in view the water table and cost within a week’s time.
