RAJOURI, APRIL 19:–As a part of the weekly Block Diwas, a public outreach camp was organised in the Panjgrain block in Manjakot tehsil in the Rajouri district on Wednesday.
Deputy Commissioner, Vikas Kundal, IAS, chaired the camp in which the inhabitants of the area and their representatives raised various issues and grievances related to their area.
The main issues raised include macadamization of roads, upgradation of the government institutions, paucity of staff, better health care facilities, scarcity of water etc.
The DC, Vikas Kundal, IAS, assured the people to redress their concerns in a phased manner.
“District Administration is working on a multipronged strategy for the holistic development of all the areas of the district and also sought the active cooperation of the general public in achieving the development objectives of the district,” said Vikas Kundal.
He asked for coordination among the departments and PRIs to achieve desired development objectives besides the timely intervention and action to mitigate the sufferings of the people.
The DC advised the people to avail the benefits of the services being provided online by different departments.
He also sought the cooperation of the general public in District Administration’s efforts/measures to eradicate drug abuse and to make the district drug free.
“Dedicated efforts are being made to complete the work on Jal Jeevan Mission schemes in time to provide necessary benefits to the public. Timely and quality disposal of the issues of the general public is the top priority of the district administration. Concerned officers should work with added zeal to mitigate the sufferings of the general public,” the DC said.
He also passed on-the-spot directions to the concerned departments for ensuring the redressal of the issues highlighted by people on priority and in a time-bound manner.
Officers of different departments also briefed the public about a number of schemes being implemented in the district and motivated them to avail the benefits of the same.
Officers who accompanied the Deputy Commissioner during the public outreach camp include CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; ACP, Sheraz Chowhan; DSWO, Wakeel Ahmed Bhatt, and other district and sectoral officers.
