DC Rajouri reviews TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, stresses on accelerated case detection and coordinated efforts

RAJOURI DECM, 19:-Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma today chaired a comprehensive review meeting to assess the progress of the TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan in the district and to strengthen strategies aimed at achieving the national goal of tuberculosis elimination.

*During the meeting, the DC reviewed the overall strategies and actionable plans focused on accelerating TB case detection, improving treatment outcomes and ensuring effective inter-departmental coordination. He emphasized the need for timely diagnosis, uninterrupted treatment and enhanced community participation to make the district TB-free.*

*The DC took a detailed review of the status of active TB patients, engagement of Nikshay Mitras, distribution of Poshan Kits, and progress on diagnostic services including NAAT tests, microscopy and X-ray facilities. He also reviewed the functioning of the District Tuberculosis Centre (DTC), cases with consent pending, implementation of TB Preventive Treatment (TPT) and lost follow-up mechanisms.*

Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned officers to intensify active case finding, ensure regular follow-up of patients, and strengthen nutritional and social support to TB patients. *He stressed upon effective coordination among Health, ICDS and other allied departments for better outreach and impact.*

The DC reiterated the administration’s commitment to eliminating TB from the district through sustained efforts, close monitoring and community involvement.

The meeting was attended by DSEO Rajouri, Sandeep Sharma; CMO Rajouri, Dr. Manohar Lal Rana; District Tuberculosis Officer and other concerned officials. All Block Medical Officers joined the meeting virtually.
