DC Rajouri finalizes arrangements for R- day celebrations

Rajouri, Jan 22 : Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Mohammad Aijaz Asad today chaired a meeting to finalize the arrangements for Republic Day celebrations. The meeting was attended by ADDC Sher Singh, SSP Yougal Manhas, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Mohd Ashraf, Chief Planning Officer, Assistant Commissioner Development, XEN PWD ,XEN PHE , ACD Rajouri, CEO Education, DYSO, District Informatics Officer, DSWO, Tehsildar Rajouri, DFO, DTO and other district officers.

The Plan was finalised keeping in view the rainy season.
It was decided that Asstt Labour Commissioner shall ensure the proper distribution of refreshment on the day of full day rehearsal.

DDC directed ACD to provide chairs and Shamyanas for the function. EO municipality was directed to maintain cleanliness at the venue. He also directed the ACR to take special care of protocol in seating arrangements.
Detailed disscussion was held on the proposed arrangements for the function like barricading,drinking water and power supply,sanitation,first aid,security,transport,traffic regulation,illumination of designated buildings,refreshment to students participating in the National Function.
It was decided that the day would begin with playing of Shehnai Vadan by Information Department followed by flag hoisting by VIP at Parade Ground Rajouri and march past by District Police,NCC,CRPF, Schools and various educational institutions,Culture programmes,skits and physical display by School students would also be presented.

DDC asked concerned officers to maintain coordination in making arrangements pertaining to their departments.He stressed upon the arrangement committee to prepare the plan under control coordination to ensure the completion of the process well in advance.

Meanwhile DDC also took stock of essential services like water, power, roads, food etc. XEN PWD was directed to make a plan for snow clearance to ensure the proper functioning of roads in snow bound areas.

AD Food informed the DDC that the ration for the month of january is being distributed and the DDC asked AD Food to monitor and ensure the proper distribution of kerosene oil to the last beneficiary. He also asked to check the illegal distribution of kerosene oil with the help of tehsildar and submit the final report to Assistant Commissioner Revenue.
