Rajouri,July,21:The Deputy Commissioner Rajouri,Mohammad Nazir Sheikh along with a team of the officers of the district administration on Tuesday paid a visit to the MCH Old District Hospital Rajouri which has been converted into CCC and reviewed the arrangements being put in place for the convenience of the COVID positive patients to be brought in the centre.
The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by District Statistical and Evaluation Officer,Bilal Rashid Mir,Deputy Chief Medical Officer,Anees Altaf Nabi, Executive Engineer PHE Rajouri,Mushtaq Ahmed,Assistant Executive Engineer PWD Rajouri,Server Mehmood,Assistant Executive Engineer PDD Rajouri,Mohd Jamshed,Assistant Executive Engineer PWD Rajouri and Executive Officer Municipality Rajouri,Mushtaq Hussain.
Speaking on the occasion,the Deputy Commissioner said that COVID-19 pandemic is the defining global health crisis and is one of the greatest challenges of mankind as it has the potential to create devastating social, economic and political effects.
He added that with the spike in the number of COVID19 cases in the district,the dire need of the hour is to augment the medical facilities to ensure the efficient management of COVID19 pandemic in the district and the district administration is making concerted efforts in this direction to ensure the safety of its citizens.
He directed the concerned officers to put in place all the logistic arrangements in terms of uninterrupted water,power supply,food and other essentials for the convenience of the persons to be brought in this centre.
The Deputy Commissioner urged upon the staff deployed at the centre to work with utmost dedication and make added efforts to ensure that all the basic facilities are made available to the persons to be quarantined in the centre so that they don’t feel any inconvenience during their temporary stay at these centres.
