Rajouri, June,13:With the aim to augment the health infrastructure in the district, Javod Iqbal Choudhary, BDC Chairperson on behalf of the Block Development Council Budhal Old on Saturday has handed over a German-made ventilator Maquet Servo 8.0 to the Medical Superintendent GMC&AH in presence of Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Mohammad Nazir Sheikh, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Sher Singh, DSEO, Bilal Mir and Nodal Officer COVID Control Room, Dr.Javid.
It is worth mentioning here that a ventilator also called a breathing machine can offer the best chance of survival for patients with the worst effects of the CoronaVirus infection as it takes over the body’s breathing process when the disease has caused the lungs to fail and gives the patient time to fight off the infection and recover.
While speaking on the occasion, Mr Javid Iqbal Chowdhary said that the ventilator has been provided by the Youth Progressive Initiative organisation with the aim to strengthen the health infrastructure of the district to cater the needs of the patients amid COVID19. He said augmentation of the Health infrastructure is the need of the hour. He also said that COVID-19 has thrown open new challenges before mankind and to combat we have to lay more focus on augmenting the health infrastructure.
While speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Mohammad Nazir Sheikh said that this piece of contribution will aid the district administration in augmenting the health infrastructure to tackle COVID-19 cases in the district and it also will help to ease the pressure on GMC&AH caused by the coronavirus crisis.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the district administration is taking and has already taken a number of steps and preventive measures to combat the deadly coronavirus spread in the district and there is no need to panic. He also said that it is the duty of every individual and organisation to contribute as per their capacity to help the needy during such a situation.
